An NTC beta equation is not a general model for PTC devices.
Model & assumptions
NTC: 1/T = 1/T0 + ln(R/R0)/B (kelvin). PTC: T = T1 + (R − R1)(T2 − T1)/(R2 − R1).
NTC beta must match the specified temperature interval. PTC requires two nearby points from the actual sensor curve; no extrapolation or switching-PTC universal model.
